Kinow, nicknamed “the made-in-Nantes Netflix”

Since its creation in 2015, Kinow has deployed more than 300 live & on-demand streaming services worldwide and has progressively positioned itself as a leader in the OTT market.

The combination of a turnkey multi-screen solution (web, mobile, TV, ...) with a powerful and flexible administration tool has greatly contributed to Kinow's success over the last few years.

Hyper-growth in the streaming market has impacted traditional video industries (broadcast, media, sports, distributors and producers...) and has lead to the emergence of new needs in industries less used to this activity. Festivals, trade shows, institutionals and companies now benefit from video platforms in many ways : new touch points, communication, training tools for employees and partners.
This growth has been further accelerated by the global Covid crisis, which has required many companies to make efforts to adapt.
Our solution has enabled these players to quickly set up, and with a reduced investment, their own streaming service, so that they can control their content, audience, user data and monetization through a platform that reflects their image."

Many fields conquered by the streaming

The health crisis has disrupted many fields, especially the event industry, but not only. In general, the digitalization of content has become an essential issue.

There are many reasons to create your own streaming platform. Since the beginning of 2021, Kinow has helped prestigious customers to launch their service, among which :

The Académie des César has chosen to create a private viewing platform exclusively for its 4,300 voting members. They can now broadcast their content in a secure way and keep control over access. This platform makes it possible to stop sending DVDs to the juries and therefore to be more eco-friendly, user-friendly and less expensive.

Some festivals have chosen to create hybrid versions of their events or to do 100% online.


The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is to date the most important world film event dedicated to short films.

The fully online solution allowed the greatest number of people to enjoy a highly anticipated event in the world of cinema, and more particularly of short films.

  • Le Festival International du film d’animation d’Annecy

Usually held on the lake banks, the Annecy Festival is the world reference for animated films, with a competition of short and feature films, television and commissioned films, graduation films, and virtual reality works, as well as numerous previews and exclusives. In 2020, they decided to create a 100% online version. For this year, they continued to trust Kinow and complete the physical event with the digital.

  • Reworld Media

Reworld Media is today a major group in the French media panorama. In only 7 years, the group has become the leader in thematic media. Kinow solution allows them today to deploy their thematic TV services in live & on-demand streaming. Currently, various platforms are online: Le Chasseur Français, Autoplus TV or Guerres & Histoire TV.

Their online public platform offers artistic and cultural video content around the world of Versailles. It gives the opportunity to make shows, operas and concerts accessible to a wider audience, especially abroad. The platform will offer video and audio streaming content.


Created in 2015 by Pierre-Antoine Capton, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse, Mediawan soon became one of the main independent European studios producing premium content. Mediawan brings together best-in-class talents in audiovisual creation by positioning itself on the entire value chain: production and distribution. Today, they use Kinow to deploy a screening room in private and secured access to view the contents internally before distribution.

  • Safi Salons -  Reed Expositions Group

Safi Salons, a subsidiary of the Reed Exposition group which produces more than 400 events in 43 sectors and 22 countries.

Safi Salons organizes the "Maison & Objet" show twice a year, on the theme of design and decoration, addressed to a professional audience. They decided to launch the "Maison & Objet" video platform with a dedicated mobile application.


Pitchoun Médias is an independent 360° media group created in 2016 by Laurent Brochet. The company develops and distributes edutainment content adapted to children and adopted by parents. The group now would like to create its own SVOD platform.

The Live

A team that grows over the years

To support this strong growth, we continue to structure our team by recruiting in all our areas (development, marketing, business, customers, support, partners ...). The startup now has 13 employees, and various positions are currently available in Nantes or remotely:
