Do I need to install the platform and be skilled in development?
The Kinow solution is accessible in SAAS (software as a service) mode. This means that it is made available on our servers, and does not require installation or configuration. Our platforms are hosted on the Cloud, and thus offer all the related advantages: security of your content, low latency and scalability.
Does the platform work on all media?
The platform is displayed in "responsive design" mode, meaning that it adjusts automatically based on the device used. Thus, your users benefit from an optimal browsing experience, whether on computer, tablet, smartphone or connected TV.
Will the platform be fully done over to match my look?
Yes, your platform is fully customizable. This means that you can place your own brand on it, choosing the domain name, customizing the logo and graphic appearance thanks to our many display tools and widgets.
What do your offers include and what are your rates?
As part of the use of your platform, we offer a monthly subscription or an annual license, calibrated according to your specific needs. The susbcription includes all the necessary services to start up and smoothly operate your platform: assistance with initial configuration, technical support, maintenance and accommodation (subject to storage, encoding and bandwidth limits).

Are there any other costs than the subscription fee and commissions?
No commission is applied to your video sales and/or subscription packages. Your sales revenue goes directly to your bank account via your selected intermediary (PayPal, Stripe, Authorize as well as by SEPA direct debit, check and bank transfer). A single subscription is billed monthly or annually, without additional hidden costs.
Using your platform, you will be able to monetize your videos by offering them as for-pay streams and/or download, either by unit (fee for service) or via subscription formulas. You can also choose to finance your platform by advertising. You will find all the tools you need to organize and monetize your video catalog in the administration panel.
Can I use my own hosting service provider?
All video hosting services needed to smoothly run your platform (storage, encoding and distribution via CDN) are provided in a completely transparent manner. These services are free of charge up to certain thresholds which, if exceeded, give rise to an additional invoicing per GB consumed.
We also offer connectors to external services such as Amazon Web Services, Infomaniak, JWPlayer, Vimeo Plus/Pro, Bitmovin and Libcast to automatically connect your video files to your Kinow platform and we can add more external video hosting services on request.
All payments made on your e-commerce platform are protected via transaction encryption and the use of SSL certificates. We do not store any credit card numbers and make full use of the services offered by the various means of payment we accept, such as Paypal, Stripe, Authorize, Slimpay or Payline.
Is my video content protected? Do you offer DRMs?
Our video hosting offers AES 128-bit encryption protection, providing you with excellent protection for all your video content. You can also opt for "Hollywood Approved" DRMs via our partner BITMOVIN and the use of our associated video connector like PlayReady, Widevine, PrimeTime and Fairplay.
I want to propose my videos on my own site. Is this possible?
Yes, it is possible. There are many technical means enabling you to roll out your own VOD offer or free videos, right on your website or connected mobile and TV app. We have developed APIs and SDKs that make it possible for our solution to be rapidly integrated into an existing website or third-party application.
